Sugar gliders are marsupials and related to the kangaroo and the koala. They have a membrane down the side of its body from their ankle to their wrist. This gliding membrane acts like a parachute and gives them the ability to fly. Their tail acts like a rudder to help it steer. They have a jump so large they can jump the length of a football field.
