Throughout this term we will be writing and performing speeches. Below are a variety of topics to get you thinking about what you would like to speak to the class about - you are able to choose any of these topics or any topic of which you are confident speaking about for your first speech. Your second speech will be based on your time at Lynmore but both will be written at school.
At the moment in strand we are exploring different types of graphs and how to read and analyse these so that we will be able to create our own. Have a look at the following links to help you understand the graphs that we will be working with.
In class as part of strand we will be having a go at creating our very own Mandala. Have a look at the following youtube clip for clues. Over the next two weeks we are studying circle geometry in strand. Below are links that you can refer back to throughout the unit if you have not grasped the concept YET or just need to confirm that what you know is true. We will be going through these in class also.

The basis of your pick a path story needs to be a narrative story. Inside each narrative there are: plot, character, conflict, theme and setting. Watch the following rap video to give you an idea of examples of each. Below are a couple more videos that give you examples of what is needed in a narrative for it to be interesting and keep the reader engaged. |
