Sketching may sound simple at first but it is not as easy as it may seem. Use the following links to help you understand some of the key ideas about sketching. We will be discussing these together during class time this week.

<![CDATA[Nuclear energy - should new zealand invest?]]>Mon, 09 Mar 2015 04:28:24 GMThttp://sarahssuperheroes.weebly.com/topic/nuclear-energy-should-new-zealand-investScenario
John Key has proposed to build a nuclear power plant in New Zealand. You have been asked to present your findings to parliament to either support or disagree with this proposal. If you disagree, you need to provide an alternative and if you agree, you need to explain why.

Week One
Over the week you need to work in your group to complete the following tasks:

1. Watch the two videos linked below
2. Brainstorm about the positive and negative effects of nuclear energy
3. Decide whether or not you agree with John Key's decision to build a power plant in New Zealand
4. Brainstorm different ways that you could present the opinion of your group to the class - group brainstorm and then class brainstorms
5. Choose a couple of ways that you could do this and do a PMI chart for each. Decide which would be the most effective.
6. Create a storyboard/timeline that allows you to achieve what you need to have done before presentation date.
7. Begin brainstorming some key ideas that you could discuss in your report.
8. Ensure that your title page is complete for this unit - "Nuclear Energy - Does it truly benefit our world?"
